Intermarriage It shall be unlawful for a white person to marry anyone except a white person. Any marriage in violation of this section shall be void. This law was made in Georgia.
I think this law was made so the two races would not mix. White people were probably afraid that fully white people would become extinct because of the races being mixed. They were probably afraid of catching the disease during intercourse, or on the toilet. My opinion on this law is that it is okay if a black man or woman marries a white man or woman. It is okay for a person to be both black and white. For example, Barrack Obama is black and white, and he has accomplished more than anyone could've imagined. He is the first black president of the United States. He is doing a very good job cleaning up George W. Bush's mess.

A wedding story
My mother and my father got married 22/2/1998. They knew each other 4 years before they got married. About 250 people attended the wedding. Most of the people there were friends and family. They got married by a priest in a greek orthodox church in Nicosia. They picked Nicosia because they are both from Nicosia. My mother wore a wedding dress with white on top and changing different shades of blue starting with light blue and ending at the bottom with dark blue. My father wore a black suit,a bowtie, and black shoes. Flower girls dropped white orchards on the church floor when my parents were leaving the church. There were white orchards (again) all over the church. A dj played poprock music that everyone danced to. There was a special song only the bride and groom danced to.

Connection of the week
The horrible histories book "Nasty Knights" reminds me of the video clip of it on youtube because they both talk about castle defences and knights.
English: Best 3 connections
The book world war 2 from the series the complete idiots guide reminds me of the books "blitz","woeful world war 2", "world war 2 spies", and "frightful first world war" from the horrible history series because all of them give information about the two world wars and weapons. I thought the books were interesting because they go in to detail of what it was like for the soldiers and what the punishments were for traitors and spies. I learned how horrible wars can be from these books and how many people died from a couple mistakes two people made.
The books mentioned above keepreminding me that wars can happen and a 3rd world war would be more destructive than both wars combined because of all the advances in weapons and technology.
The books "Who's horrible in history" and "rotten rulers" remind me of each other because they talk about who the most vile rulers and dictators in the world were and what trouble they caused, not to mention who they tortured and stole from.

My favourite place
My favourite plce is London. It has loads of attractions that are almost always open to visitors. The tower of london is a very good example. My second reason is because there is always something to do. Have fun at amusement parks, visit the museums, zoos, aquariums, or just call a friend to hang out with. There are a lot of concerts in london or at least somewhere near london, which brings me to my last point, location. London's location is very conveniant for most people, especially tourists. London is near Englands best attractions. Whether it be 'Britains wildest adventures', or Lego Land. Both very big amusement parks.
Welcome
